Yes, that's certainly true, and of course I agree it's a good idea to fix 
those scanning and OCR (optical character recognition) goofs. "Editing" normally 
refers to rearranging and changing text. What you're suggesting is 
"proofreading for typos".

As mentioned, let's each pick some items that seem worthy of being on the web 
site.
